“Flat Hair-Wing Flies” by Dave Whitlock
The flat hair-wing is a classic dry fly design that is mainly used to imitate adult stoneflies at rest but also mimics adult Dobson flies and caddis, grasshoppers, cicadas and wasps. This design is one of the later North American contributions to dry-fly fishing.
I very much enjoy illustrating and tying flat wings because I have years of very special memories of watching big trout inhale them off the surface.
A fly identification card is included.

A limited-edition is a print that is only available in a limited number. The edition size tells you how many prints are produced and each is hand-signed by the artist and numbered. A number, such as 1/200, means that this is the first print signed and that there are only 200 prints that will ever be created of this work with these particular dimensions.
