North Country Spiders are one of the oldest and most simple of trout fly designs yet, even today, these lovely soft hackles are among the most effective trout flies ever conceived.  Their irresistible attraction for trout comes from the soft barbules of bird body feathers that give the fly it’s natural colors and life-like movement in the water – simulating emerging aquatic insects.
